Ricoh and 3M™ Collaborate to Deliver High-Performance, Durable Labels for Electronic Parts
Ricoh Electronics, a leading provider of innovative solutions, is proud to announce its strategic collaboration with 3M to introduce a new line of high-performing labels. This collaboration combines the advanced capabilities of Ricoh’s B125CS thermal transfer ribbons with 3M’s Durable Label materials, resulting in labels that are resistant to scratches and smears.
Through extensive testing, it has been demonstrated that when paired with 3M Durable Label materials such as 3M™ Thermal Transfer Label Material 7816 and 3M™ Versatile Print Label Material 7871V, Ricoh’s B125CS thermal transfer ribbon delivers exceptional sensitivity, durability, and resolution, ensuring clear and crisp images on small areas, which are essential for electronic parts labeling applications.
One of the key advantages of this collaboration lies in the versatility of Ricoh’s B125CS TTR, which is compatible with a wide variety of substrates. This reduces the need for frequent ribbon changes, ultimately enhancing productivity and streamlining the labeling process.
Dylan Uboldi, Sales and Marketing Division Manager at Ricoh, commented on the meticulous research and development process conducted by the companies' domestic and international R&D teams. “Our R&D experts carefully evaluated multiple 3M durable label materials in conjunction with various Ricoh thermal transfer ribbons. Critical factors such as scratch resistance, resolution, and sensitivity were thoroughly analyzed to identify the perfect match for electronics parts labeling,” he stated.
This collaboration highlights the commitment of both Ricoh Electronics and 3M to deliver exceptional solutions that meet the demanding requirements of their customers. By leveraging the combined expertise of both companies, customers can expect labels that offer outstanding durability and image quality.
