New RICOH Pro 8400(S) series sets new standards in reliability and sustainability in the production market
SINGAPORE, Sep 18, 2024 - Ricoh Asia Pacific has announced the launch of its latest black and white production printer series1, the RICOH Pro 8420S/8410S/8400S (copy, print, and scan) and RICOH Pro 8420/8410 (print only). These advanced models, collectively known as the RICOH Pro 8400(S) series, set new benchmarks for reliability and sustainability in the production printing market.
As the successors to the highly regarded RICOH Pro 8320S/8310S/8300S and RICOH Pro 8320/8310, the new series is designed to accelerate digitalisation across the industry. With enhanced capabilities, including support for a wider range of paper sizes, such as business cards, and increased scanning speeds thanks to the new Automatic Document Feeder (ADF)2, the RICOH Pro 8400(S) series is designed to meet the evolving demands of today’s production printing businesses.
These new models continue to deliver the high-speed output and exceptional image quality that Ricoh is known for, while sharing key peripherals with the popular RICOH Pro C9500 and RICOH Pro C7500 colour production printers. This integration further expands the possibilities of digital printing within the commercial printing segment.
Sustainability is at the forefront of the RICOH Pro 8400(S) series. These printers are constructed using recycled plastic and electric furnace steel, significantly reducing their environmental impact and contributing to customers’ environmental and social responsibility goals.

Key features of the RICOH Pro 8400(S) series
- Maximum speed of 136 ppm (A4) and 76 ppm (A3).
- Twin toner bottles for uninterrupted, continuous printing.
- Up to three optional Vacuum-Feed LCIT units can be added to increase the feeding capacity to 16,700 sheets with a maximum of 10 trays.1
- The RICOH Pro 8400S/Pro 8410S/Pro 8420S boasts improved scanning speeds, reaching up to 280 pages per minute (ppm) for A4 duplex scanning at 200/300 dpi.
- The space-saving Finisher SR5130 / Booklet Finisher SR5140 supports stacking up to 3,000 sheets.
- The Finisher SR5110 / Booklet Finisher SR5120 supports limitless output, allowing print jobs to continue without downtime.

- The Mechanical Registration System, with a Contact Image Sensor (CIS), corrects skew and ensures precise handling even with pre-printed and dark-coloured paper.
- Features the same well-received Smart Operation Panel as the latest Ricoh office printers.
- Auto jam recovery function minimises downtime by instantly removing paper jams and multi-feeds without interrupting operations.
- These new printers are made with 25% recycled plastic and 33% recycled steel from electric furnaces.
- The use of plastic in packaging has been reduced by 50% compared with the RICOH Pro 8300 series.
