RICOH signs development cooperation with ASUS to provide DaaS (Device as a Services) services

On December 26, 2023, ASUS visited Ricoh Vietnam's office in Ho Chi Minh City, where both partners signed a commitment to work together to develop a sustainable business model to provide ASUS Device Rental Services through Ricoh's system.

Device as a Service (DaaS) is a support package that provides both management and provision of IT devices such as personal computers, smartphones, and mobile devices as a paid subscription, replacing the purchase of individual devices.

The Devices market is expected to experience significant growth, with revenue expected to reach USD 6 billion by 2023. In particular, the Mobile Phone industry stands out with the expected majority contribution to the market, reaching 4 billion USD by 2023. Forecasts show a steady annual growth rate, with an integrated annual growth rate (CAGR 2023-2026) of 0.91%, resulting in a market volume of USD 6 billion by 2026. In the global context, China is expected to play an important role, achieving the highest revenue compared to other countries with an impressive figure of $161 billion by 2023. The excellence of the Equipment market is testament to its important role and potential impact on the global economic landscape.

According to IDC, spending on DaaS in Vietnam is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 25% from 2022 to 2027. By 2027, spending on DaaS is expected to account for 12% of total IT spending in Vietnam, up from 5% in 2022.
